About me
Dr. Kristy Zaleta is in her 21st year with Danbury Public Schools and 7th as Principal of Rogers Park Middle School. A second-career educator, she began as an 8th-grade science teacher before becoming Associate Principal of Instruction for Danbury’s middle schools. Honored as the 2024 Connecticut Middle School Principal of the Year, she represented Connecticut in the NASSP National Principal of the Year program. Dr. Zaleta is dedicated to equity, school climate, and student achievement, using data, collaboration, and culturally responsive teaching to enhance student outcomes through strategic interventions, project-based learning, and fostering growth mindsets.
