About me
Tim Salem is currently in his 15th year as Principal of Scotts Ridge Middle School. Prior to his current role, Tim served as an Assistant Principal and social studies teacher at Danbury High School. As a classroom teacher Tim taught classes centered on multiculturalism and human rights. Tim has been the recipient of numerous awards, including: the Connecticut Association of Schools Assistant Principal of the Year Award, The Anne Frank USA Outstanding Educator Award, the Mahatma Gandhi-Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Award (CAS), Principal of the Year Award by the Connecticut School Counselors Association, CASL Administrator of the Year Award and more recently, the American Association of School Librarians Distinguished School Administrator Award.
