Tom Owen advises schools and colleges on legal matters concerning students, employees, governance, and policy. His legal expertise is enhanced by extensive experience in education, having worked at boarding and day schools in various roles, including teacher, coach, dorm parent, and administrator. Prior to practicing law, he also directed thought leadership at a consulting firm serving independent schools. Owen's legal background includes internships at education and labor relations departments, as well as university counsel offices. He holds a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, an M.A. in private school leadership from Columbia University's Teachers College, and an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
