About me
Caroline C. Calhoun has 20 years of public school teaching experience in upper elementary and middle school, focusing on Humanities–integrated Language Arts and Social Studies. She currently works for EdAdvance, one of Connecticut’s six RESCs, as a Professional Learning and Attendance Specialist supporting school districts in a variety of ways. Ms. Calhoun is wholeheartedly invested in helping Connecticut’s students feel a sense of belonging in their schools and classrooms by helping shift educator mindsets. Her work in this arena includes a focus on attendance, family and community engagement, culturally-responsive curriculum and pedagogy, using an assets-based lens, and increasing educator diversity.
